Creating and recording my presentation video using OBS was a completely new experience for me. I had never used the software before, so there was definitely a learning curve. At first, it felt a little overwhelming trying to figure out how to set everything up: choosing the right input sources, getting the audio to work correctly, and understanding how to capture both my screen and webcam at the same time. But once I started exploring the interface and watching a few tutorials, it started to come together. I realized that OBS is actually a powerful tool that offers a lot of flexibility for content creation.
Even though I’m used to working with professional audio software, this was my first time blending video presentation with screen recording in a way that felt this structured. It made me more aware of how I present myself on camera and how I communicate my message visually and verbally. The process pushed me to be more intentional with my delivery, my environment, and the overall flow of the presentation. Now that I’ve gotten a feel for it, I can see how OBS could become a valuable tool in my creative toolbox, especially as I move toward producing music videos and more visual content in the future.
